The two stone lions, memorials to the period af Venetian dominion, which give the hotel its name, guard the entrance and welcome guests on their arrival. The elegant building is one of the most attractive of the main town square.		Since 1274 it has been the headquarters of the 'Sagra dei Osei' (bird show and market), a famous ornithological event held every year on the third Sunday in August.
